600 horses to compete in Fujairah Equestrian Championships 2024
Free spectator entry to all events at Fujairah Fort Arena
Fujairah is set to host the 2024 Fujairah Equestrian Championships under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.
This year’s championships will showcase over 600 horses across three distinct events, celebrating the rich equestrian heritage of the Emirate while promoting its global standing in the sport.
Arabian Horse Championship
The Arabian Horse Championship, overseen by the Emirates Horse Society (EHS), will feature 300 horses competing in 18 rounds across six categories. This event, running between December 19–21, highlights the grace, strength, and beauty of Arabian horses, a breed renowned for its cultural and historical significance in the region.
This championship aims to uphold international standards while providing a competitive platform for local and international participants.
Fujairah Dressage Championship
The Dressage Championship, managed by the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation (UAEERF), will showcase the precision and skill of riders in equestrian training and techniques.
Taking place on December 22, this event provides a platform for riders from across the country to demonstrate their expertise, fostering growth in this technical discipline within Fujairah and beyond. Participants can register via the UAEERF portal.
Fujairah Jumping Championship – CSI3
Running between December 27–29, the Jumping Championship is a CSI3-level international event conducted under the supervision of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI). Riders from multiple countries will compete in nine classes, culminating in the prestigious Grand Prix event on the final day.
Dr Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Championships, stated, “The international expansion of the jumping event reinforces Fujairah’s position as a centre for equestrian excellence while inspiring future generations to cherish this heritage.”
Participants for the jumping event must confirm their entries via FEI’s platform or through their respective national federations. Registration closes on 19 December at 23:59 UTC.
